Thinking in pictures

The trip to work got me thinking about learning and vision, and the struggle to categorize information, lessons, and learning.

I wonder how you could write a programming book visually, so that the syntax for anything would stay learned over time. Something like the way my Chinese teacher used so that we would retain the characters. He was a phenomenal visual teacher.
